Elaine Shanebrook

Elaine A. Shanebrook is founding partner of Shanebrook & Falkowski Law Office and has been actively practicing law in West Bend since 1977.

Professional Activities: Elaine is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, American Bar Association and Washington County Bar Association.

Being active in the State Bar of Wisconsin, she has served as past chair and director of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and a director of the Taxation Section. She served a term as Secretary of the State Bar of Wisconsin and is a past president of the Washington County Bar Association.

She was the first woman from Wisconsin to be elected to the prestigious American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.

Both the State Bar of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin law school have invited her to lecture for continuing legal educational programs for attorneys. She is listed in "Best Lawyers in America" and is listed as one of the "Wisconsin Super Lawyers" in Milwaukee magazine.

Education: Elaine graduated from Marquette Law School with a J.D. in 1977. She has a B.A. magna cum laude from the University of Illinois and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa there.

Community: She has been active in a number of community organizations and currently serves on the St. Joseph’s Community Foundation board of directors. She is a past director and chair of the St. Joseph’s Community Hospital, Inc. Among other organizations, she has served as a director for the Washington County United Way, The Threshold, Inc., Cedar Communities Foundation, Inc., and Bethesda Lutheran Home Foundation, Inc.
